We are Amateur Radio Consignment. We provide the service of selling "pre-owned" ham radio equipment to other licensed "ham" radio operators at affordable prices.

Services

We take in the equipment on consignment from "Estate Sales"; SK's; or from those who just need to clean out the shack. Presently, we can only take in the pre-owned equipment from local ham operators in and around Maricopa County, AZ. However ...we can sell outside of the Maricopa County.

We also assist ham operators "locate" equipment. So use the "Contact us now" button to get in touch with us.

We can also ship your purchase ...we use ONLY Economy/Standard shipping to keep S/H costs down for YOU.

We're now accepting pre-owned "ham" radio equipment for sale on consignment.

How It Works

You simply use the "contact us now" button above ...fill out the short form and tell us what you have to put on "consignment". We then will send over a "consignment" agreement ...fill it out, return it to us (or we can pick it up along with the equipment) and we'll take it from there.

We take photos of the incoming equipment ...we do a brief "bench test" to ensure all is operating correctly ...tubes are all present ...no "weird wiring" ...(HI-HI) ...dials/knobs all turn freely/smoothly ...do a little sprucing/cleaning up (if necessary) and get it ready to be sold "as-is" ... (We do highly recommend a re-bench test at the buyers end) ...

Once it is sold ...the check comes directly to YOU ...can't beat that now ...

All equipment will ONLY be sold to Licensed Ham Radio Operators.

Part of the Abandoned Military Bases Around the World

A fun little tid-bit of a story about Abandoned Military Bases Around the World ...this one comes from Duga Radar, Ukraine ...

This impressive structure is nicknamed the Russian woodpecker ...

~ The structure was part of the Soviet’s over-the-horizon radar (OTH) system which was part of the early-warning network for missiles

~ It created a sound that could be picked up on shortwave radio when it was operational between the dates of July 1976 and December 1989 (a tapping noise)

~ It’s right next to Chernobyl and has been declared radioactive since 1986

The radio signal from the Duga-1 transmitter was such a nuisance to amateur radio operators tried to jam the signal but sending continuous wave signals at the same rate as the Duga signals. These amateur radio workers named themselves the Russian Woodpecker Hunting Club.
